The "Noirs Sillons" exhibition presents the 5th Print Biennial, highlighting the works of many contemporary artists.
The tradition of the Printmaking Biennials will continue at the Tannerie in Houdan. Initiated by the late Yannick Dublineau and Marc Giai-Miniet, it attracts both friends and invited artists.
Printmaking is an artistic discipline that draws as much from drawing as from painting. It opens up a vast field of expression where each artist finds their own path with patience and enthusiasm. Among the seventeen exhibitors in 2026, some are printmakers, painter-printmakers, others printmaker-sculptors, or printmakers-visual artists. With this diversity of approach, the printmaking techniques chosen by each artist are manipulated to strive towards the singularity of their inner world through the gesture of the tool, the translation of space, and the interplay of black and white and color.
This is how the techniques of engraving remain faithful to their origins in their essences while each being revitalized, revisited, their limits pushed back by the desire to express, to translate into image this presence in the world.
OPENING Sunday, April 19th from 11am.
Opening hours: Friday 14pm to 19pm / Saturday and Sunday 11am to 18pm
