JEP - Discover the secrets of an organ through the historic organ of Houdan

Come on Sunday, September 20th from 17pm to 18pm, to discover the secrets of an organ through the historic organ of Houdan, for the European Heritage Days.

Built by one of the members of the most prestigious family of organ builders in 18th-century France, the Clicquot, the Houdan organ is one of the rare French classical instruments that has not undergone any transformation over the centuries.

Régis Allard, its titular organist, will reveal how it works, the different families of pipes and timbres, as well as the place of the organ at the time of its construction.
He will perform various pieces from the Baroque repertoire, including excerpts from the suites by Nicolas Clérambault, which resulted in a CD recording by Régis Allard entitled "Magnificat 1739" and awarded 5 diapasons.
