Robert KOHN Exhibition: Abstract and Impressionist Painting

The Houdanais Country Tourist Office invites you to discover Robert KOHN, a colorful Pop Art artist, in its premises from August 1st to 28th, 2026.

An artist with a joyful and vibrant style, Robert Kohn draws inspiration from his travels and his life in Paris. At 23, he crossed the United States from New York to Los Angeles, absorbing the colors of the cities and landscapes—influences that would profoundly mark his work. The joy of life, the hippie spirit, and encounters with icons like Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix fueled his colorful creations.

Today, thanks to his nephew Stéphane KOHN, legal and family representative of the artist who passed away in November 2024 at the age of 80, the public can discover these unique works.

Robert Kohn opens up the imagination in a universe where humor, fantasy, and joy prevail. Some canvases bring together more than 112 colors, harmoniously blended to convey lightness and happiness.

Women, who were present throughout his life, also occupy an important place in his compositions.
This exhibition is an invitation to be carried away into a colourful world, full of fantasy and good cheer.
