Yauque, nem*! Rebelote in Houdan for the two Ardennes artists. Nip and Python eagerly unveil their tenth exhibition under the Soeurcières banner, and – joy – this spring outpouring takes place right in front of the dungeon.
Fierce protectors of serendipity and other syncretisms, the sisters mix their worlds through varied techniques: graphite, acrylic, gouache, spray... They deliver work without conformism, sharing a real feminist commitment, cravings for mythologies and passions of poetry.
Rocked for several years by the powerful vibrations of Mexico, Python celebrates the fleeting beauty of life in paintings with accents of magical realism. His portraits, inspired in particular by the Catrinas, are odes to his country of heart and to the dance of life and death.
Nip, straddling the abstract and the figurative, deepens his work on perception and borders on synesthesia: one could almost hear the gallop of the riders, drunk with light and golden reflections. Sketches and frescoes are tinged with excess.
The Sisters are now taking over the walls: this edition gives pride of place to a common future around urban art.
