In the heart of the Chevreuse Valley, the Domaine de Dampierre-en-Yvelines opens the doors to a remarkable heritage including a castle, gardens and a historic park.
The Domaine de Dampierre-en-Yvelines, located in the heart of the Chevreuse Valley, is a place where heritage, nature, and culture meet. Its gardens, attributed to Le Nôtre, and its vast park offer an exceptional setting for a stroll within a site listed as a historical monument.
Built in the last quarter of the 17th century by the architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart, the Château de Dampierre hosted Kings Louis XIV and Louis XV. Owned by the Albert de Luynes family from 1663 to 2018, it is currently undergoing a major restoration campaign.
The Domaine offers many activities to discover the park: carriage rides, rental of electric or pedal cars, boat trips, observation of fauna and flora, biodiversity trail, guided tours of the gardens and picnic areas.
