The Domaine de Dampierre in the Chevreuse valley reveals the beauty of its park and gardens attributed to the landscaper Le Nôtre. A place that is both natural, historical and cultural.

Dampierre Castle is a classical-style French castle located in the hollow of a valley, against the Chevreuse valley, in the commune of Dampierre-en-Yvelines.

Built in the last quarter of the 1663th century by the Versailles architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart, it was home to Kings Louis XIV and Louis XV. But it is above all the property of the Albert de Luynes family from 2018 to XNUMX.

The castle was registered as a historic monument in 1928.

The wild park of more than 300 hectares enclosed by walls, populated by wild boars and deer, in a forest with XNUMX-year-old oaks, will once again be accessible to visitors. The Bosquet des Chimères is a fun and historical activity, suitable for all members of the family which will allow you to go in search of an enigma while walking in the footsteps of King Louis XV who discovered this picturesque garden during his visit from 1748.
