We tested it for you: an afternoon at Malowe Nature
Pronounced “Malo-oué”, Malowe Nature, it is an exceptional site in the heart of the Houdan countryside, in Rosay more precisely, a charming little village on the road to Mantes. With its 3 fishing ponds, its educational farm, its games and its vegetable garden, there is no risk of getting bored!
First step but not least: how to get there?
It is very simple ! You can buy your tickets in advance on their website or pick them up when you arrive.
As for access, it is very easy. Head into the village of Rosay, take the path that passes in front of the Auberge de la Truite towards the edge of the woods.
In any case, it's signposted, you won't risk getting lost!
…the hardest part will be choosing which activity to start with! Between the big one who wants to go see the animals and the little one who wants to jump in the bouncy castle, you will have to decide! But rest assured, you will have time to do EVERYTHING!
We started by going to see the animals. At the entrance, it is possible to buy a small bucket to feed them. And how can you not melt in front of the little angora or ram rabbits, guinea pigs or baby dwarf goats? You will also see chickens of different and original breeds, some very tall, others with a style all their own! Come say hello to the sow and her little one as well as the ducks, geese and peacocks. And don't forget the sheep that graze peacefully at the back of the site!
Of course, you shouldn't miss the pony ride! But for that, we recommend that you book in advance because if there is no more space, you will have to manage the frustrations! The children put on their prettiest charlotte and put on the bomb, and off they go for a little tour of the estate on the back of a pony!
After a well-deserved snack on a picnic table in the shade of the trees, time for games! Inflatable castles, trampolines, slides and swings… the hardest part will be choosing! And they have thought of everything at Malowe Nature: benches and tables await parents who will have to wait a while!
And for budding little fishermen, fishing rods can be rented to tickle the trout!
For an afternoon or even a day (it is entirely possible to picnic on site, there are even barbecues available), young and old will be able to discover and have fun! And don't hesitate to follow their news, they offer many activities throughout the year (the egg hunt for Easter or the witch hunt for Halloween, etc.).
